We are seeking an outstanding, passionate, and experienced Environmental Teacher to join our thriving international school community in beautiful Koh Samui, Thailand. This is an exciting opportunity for an educator with a strong background in environmental education, conservation, sustainability, outdoor learning, and hands-on experiential teaching.
As our school continues to grow and extend its school day provision, we are investing in a dedicated specialist who can strengthen and expand environmental learning across the whole school while supporting our developing secondary provision.
This role is ideal for an educator who believes learning should extend beyond classroom walls and who can inspire children and young people to become active, informed, and responsible environmental stewards.
The Ideal Candidate Will Have
Essential:
- A recognised teaching qualification and relevant degree
- Proven teaching experience in environmental education, science, outdoor education, ecology, conservation, or related fields
- Demonstrable experience in conservation work, sustainability projects, environmental leadership, or ecological education
- Experience teaching children and/or young people in a school setting
- Strong classroom management and pastoral skills
- A practical, creative, and hands-on approach to teaching
- Excellent communication and teamwork skills
- A genuine passion for environmental stewardship and outdoor learning
Desirable:
- Experience in international schools or inquiry-based learning environments
- Knowledge of marine conservation, tropical ecosystems, permaculture, regenerative practices, or forest/outdoor learning
- Experience leading sustainability initiatives or eco-programmes
- First aid, outdoor education, or expedition experience
