Job Summary
Anglo Singapore International School is seeking a passionate, knowledgeable, and enthusiastic Primary Science Teacher to join our Primary team. The successful candidate will inspire young learners through engaging, hands-on science lessons that foster curiosity, critical thinking, and a love of discovery.
The ideal candidate will be committed to delivering high-quality teaching, creating a positive classroom environment, and supporting the academic, social, and emotional development of students in an international school setting.
Key Responsibilities
Plan and deliver engaging Science lessons aligned with the school's curriculum and learning objectives.
Create a stimulating and inclusive learning environment that encourages inquiry-based learning and scientific exploration.
Assess, monitor, and report on student progress and achievement.
Differentiate instruction to meet the diverse learning needs of students.
Integrate technology and practical activities to enhance learning experiences.
Maintain accurate records of student performance and attendance.
Collaborate with colleagues to support curriculum development and school initiatives.
Communicate effectively with parents regarding student progress and wellbeing.
Participate in school events, professional development activities, meetings, and extracurricular programmes as required.
Uphold the school's policies, values, and commitment to safeguarding and student welfare.
Qualifications & Requirements
Bachelor's Degree in Education, Science, or a related field.
Teaching qualification (PGCE, B.Ed., QTS, or equivalent).
Minimum of 3 years' teaching experience, preferably in Primary Science.
Experience in an international school environment is an advantage.
Strong classroom management and communication skills.
Fluent in written and spoken English.
Passionate about student-centred learning and inquiry-based education.
Able to work collaboratively within a multicultural environment.
